Nanaimo’s Past, Present and Future! |
The Nanaimo Art Gallery presents the Festival of Banners for the
21st consecutive year! Members of the public are invited to take
part in the Festival that brightens the streets of Nanaimo from
May to October. Propose an original design for a banner to the Festival’s
selection committee, and, upon approval, paint your banner on a
scheduled date! The painted banners will be posted along the main
streets of Nanaimo’s downtown area, along the sea-wall promenade,
the Departure Bay Beach, as well as the South End.
The theme this year honours the 150th anniversary of British Columbia.
It is to commemorate local history, events, and places, . . . all
things Nanaimo. Our entry forms contain all the necessary information.
