Nanaimo Art Gallery is on the cusp of a significant transition. In May, the Gallery will leave its first home on the campus of Vancouver Island University to consolidate in downtown Nanaimo at 150 Commercial Street. The decision to make this big move was taken in early 2014, and came as the result of much discussion and analysis. Focusing our programs and resources downtown, in the heart of Nanaimo's arts district, will help Nanaimo Art Gallery build a stronger identity as our region's public art gallery and expand our capacity.
